SWEDISH MEATBALLS

Unleash your inner Swedish chef with this delicious one pan recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp Minced garlic

  • 2.5 oz Bravado Spice Serrano & Basil Hot Sauce

  • 1 lb ea. Ground beef & pork

  • 1/2 c Breadcrumbs

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/3 c Minced onion

  • 1 c Heavy cream

  • 1/2 c Beef Broth

  • 2/3 c Flour

  • 3 c Cooked egg noodles

  • 1/4 c Oil

  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp Butter

  • 2 tsp Nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp Salt & pepper

STEPS

1. Boil your egg noodles in salted water until just cooked and set aside with a little oil so the noodles don’t stick to each other.

2. Mix the ground beef, pork, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, & half the salt & pepper in a bowl until uniformly mixed. Roll into 1.5”-2” balls.

3. Heat oil in a skillet and add the butter. Then sear the meatballs in the pan, turning every few minutes for even cooking. You don’t need to cook them all the way through. Remove balls from pan.

4. Add the flour to the pan and mix with the rendered fat and cook

5. Add the dijon mustard & beef broth and simmer. Then add heavy cream to the mixture and try to remove any flour lumps that remain. Then add Bravado Spice Serrano & Basil Hot Sauce, the remaining salt & pepper, and simmer until thickened.

6. Add the cooked egg noodles and the meatballs to the pan and cook until the meatballs finish cooking all the way through. Enjoy!
