JALAPEÑO & GREEN APPLE

CORNBREAD

Aw shucks! This jalapeño cornbread recipe will leave you a-maized!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c Cornmeal

  • 1 c All purpose flour

  • 1/3 White sugar

  • 2 tsp Baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 2 oz Bravado Spice Jalapeño & Green Apple Hot Sauce

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/4 c Canola oil

  • 1 c Milk

  • 1/2 c Canned corn

  • 2/3 c Pickled or fresh jalapeños

  • 1/3 c Shredded cheese

STEPS

1. Preheat an oven to 375°.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder & salt

3. Slice your jalapeños, if they are not already sliced, and mix in the egg, oil, and milk, corn and jalapeños, and whisk until smooth.

4. Pour the mixture into either a cast iron skillet, or baking dish, then pour the Bravado Spice Jalapeño & Green Apple Hot Sauce on top, and swirl it with a spatula. Then top with the shredded cheese.

5. Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out smooth.

6. Cool and serve. Enjoy!
